Tai Chi originated in ancient China and today is practiced by millions of people around the world. The movements are performed slowly and flow smoothly from one step to the next.
It is a safe, non-competitive exercise that can be practiced by all persons regardless of age or physical abilities. It can be performed either individually or in a group and requires no special clothing or equipment.

Lawrence Earl
Lawrence is an instructor with over 30 years of experience teaching Tai Chi.
He has twice been the “Wellness Guest” on CITY-TV’s “Breakfast Television” morning show.
Lawrence has extensive experience working with special needs Tai Chi students, stroke recovery groups, MS groups, chair-bound students and seniors at every level of health and fitness.
As a Tai Chi instructor over the past 30 years, he has taught Tai Chi classes at many retirement homes (Palisade Gardens, Applewood, Teddington, Dunfield, Grenadier, Belmont House), fitness centres (GoodLife, Sport Clubs of Canada, Adelaide Club, Fitness Institute) and lunch time classes for corporations (FWTAO, CIBC) as well as organizing and teaching his own group classes at both Beginner and Advanced levels and even working one-on-one with many private Tai Chi students.
Lawrence was also certified as a Reflexologist by the Reflexology Association of Canada and has produced a Tai Chi video “Universal Tai Chi for Everyone”.
Lawrence’s former medical and holistic training gives him an excellent understanding of the various health benefits of Tai Chi and how to apply these to any situation or individual student.
